Since I am now 40, I thought what better way to celebrate this new decade than by sharing my favorite top 40 tips, tricks and techniques for building better art journals and mixed-media backgrounds. Like all great things building a strong foundation or base for your ideas is important, mixed-media and art journaling are no different. This workshop is going to put all these ideas at your fingertips as you create your own personal reference book for mixed media backgrounds and techniques and fill the pages of your NEW art journal. Each student will receive and work in one of my newly released art journals. the journals heavyweight pages are perfect for layering, paints, inks, collages, PanPastels, paper, etc and I plan to do all that and more in this workshop!

We will build over 40 techniques and pages worth of ideas using several different wet and dry mediums filling one incredible idea book that will surely get your mind spinning with ideas!

Corinne Delis from The Netherlands was a well known scrapbooker before she left the scrapbooking world to pursue her dream to becoming a photographer.

Photography has been her passion from the age of fiftheen.

In the years since then she found her own unique style and learned everything she wanted

to know about photography and Photoshop by herself. Taking self-portraits has been a huge part of learning about how things work.

Donna Downey is a bestselling author, instructor and all-around creative force in the crafting industry. Hi! My name is Birgit Koopsen. I'm married to Erik and mom of 3 beautiful kids (Anne (girl) 1994, Lennart (boy)1995, Marlijn (girl) 2002). I live in a little village called Winsum in the north of the Netherlands.

I started scrapbooking officially when my youngest child was one year old but actually I've been doing it since I was a teenager. I always enjoyed photography and always "pimped" my photo albums, just didn't know there was a name for it and special products. I've tried several crafts before I started scrapbooking; oil painting, model drawing, sculpted and much more. But after a while I always got bored with using the same technique over and over again. I was so happy when I found scrapbooking and being able to use whatever technique I wanted in this hobby! Besides that I love how it keeps all the beautiful memories of special events and everyday life alive. Especially for my children! In the last 7 years scrapbooking slowly turned into a job. I teach and demonstrate in my own studio at home as well as in scrapbook stores, at (international) scrapbook events and for the Dutch wholesales company Kars. I work for magazines, am on several DT’s and last year released my first paper line.

My favorite colors are lime green, turquoise, pink and orange in combination with black and white. But basically I just love all colors. I love flowers in all shapes and sizes, border punches, letter stickers, (spray) paints, canvas, patterned paper, transparencies, stamps, bling bling and book paper (and much more).

My style goes from clean and geometric to “busy” layouts with lots of details and colors, I sometimes love to "go freestyle" and play with paints and inks and use non-scrapbooking products! Besides layouts I also love to make mini albums and altered projects.

I am a scrapbooker from The Philippines, married to a wonderful man named Paul Bryan, mother to 6 year old Nicole Breanna, and 2 year old Cheska Pauline. I enjoy the creative process of this craft. I would love to continue being active in manufacturer design teams as well as store design teams. I also hope to continue seeing my work published in both print and online magazines. My signature style is details and texture in my pages. I am most comfortable with the romantic and shabby chic look but I also create bold and graphic pages. My style can adapt to the papers and embellishments I design with and I always welcome change and creativity in my assignments.

Sharon Laakkonen - USA - website

Sharon has been involved in the scrapping world for about 8 years. Her designs have been showcased in most of the domestic and international scrapbook and craft magazines (over 200 items now) and she has had the wonderful opportunity to contribute artwork to several books, including Prima's Idea Book released in 2010. Teaching classes all over the world is one of the most fulfilling aspects of scrapbooking as Sharon loves to share her passion for scrapbooking with Prima products!

Sharon is currently the Design Team Coordinator, Event Coordinator, and Media Relations contact for Prima. You may have met her at the CHA shows in the States. Sharon also runs the Prima blog and teaches lovely Prima projects at events and stores all around the world.

Besides being a wife to Bill, and mom to seven children, Sharon is also a Nana to a sweet little girl, Amariah, that you will often find as the subject of her layouts! Homeschooling, quizzing and running her youngest four children around Kentucky take up the rest of her spare time.

Anna Dabrowska - Poland - website

My name is Anna Dabrowska - Pekocka, but I tend to use my nickname – Finnabair or Finn to make it shorter. I live in Warsaw, Poland, just in the middle of Europe, with my supportive husband – Jedrek, who understands my passion. I love photos, new challenges in my life and a cup of black tea somewhere nearby;) How did my adventure start? I've tried several techniques but at the end of 2007 I found information about scrapbooking and in 2008 I made my first projects – I fell in love. My next step was trying some mixed media - and my love got even deeper! Now I'm totally addicted, especially to layouts, I love mixing different styles, supplies and medias in my projects, as I think the joy of experimenting and the pleasure of creating freely is the most important thing. It's hard to define my style I think - sometimes it's grungy, sometimes artsy, sometimes funky or shabby - or it's everything mixed together! Are the names important? I don't think so ;) In 2009 I started my designing it was for Bad Girls Project 52 - it was a great, inspiring experience. This year I joined two design teams in Poland: Lemonade Stamps (polish manufacturer) and Scrapki.pl – online shop. From time to time I run small, individual workshops in scrapbooking and mixed-media or create as a freelance designer.

Hi, my name is Ingvild Bolme, and I come from Stavanger on the west coast of Norway. My partner Esben, and I, have a sweet 4 year old girl named Iselina. She is my biggest inspiration in this craft.

I discovered scrapbooking by accident in 2006, but didn’t start up properly until the beginning of 2007, and have been totally addicted since.

Scrapbooking is such an important part of my life, my passion, my escape from a busy world, therapy for my soul... I can’t imagine life without it. I have always loved every aspect of this craft, the photography and design, so much so that I have begun studying Graphic Design.

In 2007 I decided to participate in the Norwegian Championship in card and scrapbooking, “just for fun”, and was very surprised, and honoured, when I won that year. I have been been on several Design Teams since then, and guest designed for many more. Through the last 3 years I been published over 100 times in various magazines around the world
